What is BARLEB?

BARLEB is the short for Board of Airline Representatives in Lebanon; it was founded in 1952 as a small group of airlines and represents today nearly 30 member airlines operating to Lebanon.

Airlines having sales or operational presence in Lebanon may become members in BARLEB.

What does BARLEB do?                 

In brief, BARLEB represents, promotes and protects the common interests of its members in Lebanon.

BARLEB’s predominant goal is to improve the commercial and operational conditions for airlines active in Lebanon.

To reach this goal, BARLEB is involved in all important aviation discussions and decisions, and other matters related to the airline industry.

How does BARLEB work?             

The main bodies in BARLEB are the Annual General Meeting, the Executive Committee, the Secretary General and the Auditor.

BARLEB’s members meet six times a year to discuss BARLEB's activities. The Executive Committee consists of a Secretary General and three airline representatives who also meet six times a year.

The BARLEB office in Beirut is run by the Secretary General and her assistant.
